A 17-year-old young man was fatally injured when his 2008 Toyota Camry collided with the center divider on the Santa Monica Freeway in West Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place at 3:40 a.m. Friday on the eastbound 10 Freeway at National Boulevard, the CHP said.
The young man was transported to Cedars Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills where he later died, the CHP reported.
His name was not released.
No other injuries were reported.
The eastbound 10 Freeway was temporarily closed at National Boulevard and a SigAlert was issued by the CHP. The freeway was cleared and the SigAlert canceled just before 6 a.m.
