A motorcyclist killed in a crash on the Artesia (91) Freeway in the Cerritos area was a Long Beach resident, authorities said Saturday.
Alfred Balestra was 62 years old, according to the coroner’s office.
The crash was reported about 5:50 a.m. Friday east of Norwalk Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The HOV and No. 1 lanes of both the eastbound and westbound 91 Freeway were closed in the area while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash, the CHP reported.
