The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Saturday conducted a distribution in Van Nuys, the second of the 10-stop Pull Up Neighbor Tour providing continued support to communities of color.
The foundation provided food boxes, hygiene essentials, water, books, Dodger items, face masks and other items at Mid Valley Family YMCA.
The tour will continue through June. The other stops will be in the Long Beach, Southeast Los Angeles, Watts, the Inland Empire, Wilmington, South Los Angeles, East Los Angeles and Inglewood. It began last Saturday with a drive-through distribution at Gonzales Park in Compton.
The tour was funded by a $50,000 grant from the foundation to Pull Up Neighbor, a Black-led community response nonprofit organization, focused on the health and well-being of minorities and vulnerable communities.
