A brush fire erupted near the Santa Fe Dam in Irwindale Wednesday afternoon and scorched about 30 acres, but no structures were threatened.
The Santa Fe Fire erupted for unknown reasons in the 15000 block of east Arrow Highway about 3:30 p.m. and was initially reported at about two acres, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The fire was 20% contained by about 5:10 p.m., the fire department reported.
