A multi-vehicle crash temporarily shut down all lanes Sunday evening on Pacific Coast Highway at Coastline Drive in Pacific Palisades.

The crash happened around 7:05 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

There were varying reports as to the number of cars involved. Malibu officials reported that six cars crashed, while the CHP put the number at four vehicles.

The CHP issued a SigAlert at 7:34 p.m., then opened one lane in each direction about five minutes later.

The cars were removed and the SigAlert canceled at 9:35 p.m., the CHP said.

No injuries were reported.
