Firefighters quickly knocked down a garage fire Sunday in Elysian Valley.
The fire inside a detached garage at 2667 N. Pirtle St., was reported at 5:25 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The department sent 24 firefighters to scene and extinguished the flames in about 15 minutes, fire department spokesman Nicholas Prange said.
The home was not burned, Prange said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation, he said.
