A fire that began in an recreational vehicle in Irwindale Monday threatened two 100-gallon Freon tanks stored on the property.
The fire at 5263 N. 4th St. was reported at 4:22 p.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Cheryl Sims said.
The tanks were leaking and the fire department sent out equipment to keep them cooled down, Sims said.
The department also requested a HazMat and health hazard team to come to the property. Utility companies were also notified about the problems, Sims said.
No injuries have been reported.
