A 36-year-old woman was killed when the vehicle she was driving rear-ended a big rig Sunday on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Baldwin Park.
The crash occurred at about 4:15 a.m. on the westbound freeway at Frazier Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The 2011 Hyundai rear-ended the 2013 Freightliner due to unsafe speed for the traffic conditions, officials said. The woman driving the Hyundai was a resident of Los Angeles and was pronounced dead at the scene. The big rig driver was not injured.
A representative from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office was called to the location at 4:43 a.m.
