The numbers in Monday evening’s draw of the multi-state Powerball lottery are 17, 36, 47, 60, 61 and the Powerball number is 15.
The estimated jackpot is $293 million.
The drawing was the 22nd since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in about 293 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.87.
The Powerball game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
The draw was the first on a Monday. Drawings will continue to be conducted on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The Powerball Product Group anticipates that adding the Monday drawing will result in larger, faster-growing jackpots. The group also expects to see an increase in the number of cash prizes and jackpots awarded on an annual basis.
Adding a third drawing will not change the game’s odds. Players will continue to choose five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26.
