Firefighters put out a two-acre brush fire early Sunday morning at the Hansen Dam Recreation Area that started as a rubbish fire.

The fire was first reported at 9:50 p.m. Saturday at 10652 Glenoaks Blvd. in a remote part of the recreation area, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Nicholas Prange.

The department dispatched 70 firefighters to the scene.

At 2:17 a.m., Prange reported the fire was contained and that crews would remain on the scene to put out any hot spots.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
