Firefighters Friday were working to extinguish a fire in a vacant house in Boyle Heights and prevent the flames from spreading to other structures.
The fire was reported about 7:05 a.m. in the single-story building in the 2500 block of East Folsom Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Another residence was threatened by the flames, the LAFD reported.
