Authorities Monday identified a woman who was killed when a vehicle went down an embankment on the northbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Whittier.
The crash occurred at 6:15 a.m. Sunday near Whittier Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Rayleen Carmona, 25, of Compton died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
