A man died Monday in a shooting in West Covina involving the U.S. Marshals Service.

It happened about 12:30 p.m. in the 700 block of North Sunset Avenue, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Navarro-Suarez said.

No officers or deputies were injured.

It was not immediately known what led up to the shooting.
