Lawry’s The Prime Rib will close in-restaurant dining until the first week in January due to what the Beverly Hills eatery called “unforeseen challenges and staffing issues related to the pandemic in recent weeks.”

The restaurant is fulfilling to-go orders.

The announcement came shortly after Lawry’s announced cancellation of the Beef Bowl Monday night.

Ohio State had been scheduled to participate in the Beef Bowl Tuesday, one day before Utah, its opponent in Saturday’s 108th Rose Bowl Game.

“Unfortunately, given the growing concerns around COVID-19 and the Omicron variant, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the Beef Bowl celebrations on Dec. 28 and 29 out of an abundance of caution and safety of our staff and of the players,” the restaurant announced.

Lawry’s will be packaging and delivering takeout meals for the players instead.
