Firefighters attacked flames in contents of a three-story Hollywood hillside home Saturday evening.
The fire was reported at 7:43 p.m. at 6881 W. Yeager Place, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey.
Smoke was showing from the second floor when firefighters arrived, Humphrey said
It took 16 minutes for firefighters to keep the flames from spreading to the structure, he said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause remained under investigation but firefighters believe it is possible that furnishings or a rug may have been placed too close to a floor furnace.
