Firefighters quickly stopped forward progress Saturday on a brush fire in Santa Clarita.
The fire was first reported by the Los Angeles County Fire Department at 2:29 p.m. at West Copper Hill Drive and North Kathleen Avenue. The department said one-eighth of an acre was burning in light to medium brush running uphill with winds at 20 mph.
At 3:08 p.m., firefighters at the scene tweeted that forward progress was stopped at a half-acre.
No injuries were reported.
