Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating a four-door sedan and the motorist behind the wheel of that vehicle, who critically injured a teenager in a hit-and-run crash in the West Adams community of Los Angeles.
The sedan was speeding westbound in the 1800 block of West 25th Street when it struck the teen, who was crossing mid-block, at about 8:15 p.m. Friday, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Prior to the crash, it appeared that the suspect’s vehicle was chasing someone on a pocket bike around the area, police said. The sedan fled the scene westbound on 25th Street.
LAPD South Traffic Division detectives urged anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at 323-421-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
Tipsters who help solve hit-and-run crimes in Los Angeles may be eligible for a reward of up to $25,000.
