A magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck near Hemet Friday at 4:47 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was centered 4 miles southwest of East Hemet and 4.4 miles south of Hemet.

It was 8.4 miles deep.

The earthquake was centered 5.9 miles southwest of Valle Vista and 6.8 miles of San Jacinto.

There were no reports of injuries or damage.
