The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose 1.9 cents Wednesday to $4.824, one day after increasing eight-tenths of a cent.

The average price has risen five consecutive days, increasing 3.1 cents, following a run of four decreases in six days totaling 1.8 cents, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 1.8 cents more than one week ago and 25.2 cents higher than one month ago but 1.9 cents less than one year ago.

The average price has dropped $1.67 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price rose 2.1 cents to $4.795, one day after increasing 1.9 cents. It has risen three times in four days, increasing 5.3 cents following a run of six decreases in eight days totaling 2.5 cents.

The Orange County average price is 3.7 cents more than one week ago and 29.2 cents higher than one month ago but eight-tenths of a cent less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.664 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose 2.3 cents to $3.294, the third consecutive increase following a run of eight decreases in nine days totaling 2.2 cents. It rose two-tenths of a cent Monday and seven-tenths of a cent Tuesday.

The national average price is 2 cents more than one week ago and 19.1 cents higher than one month ago but 6.3 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.722 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
