A 35-year-old man was killed when a white Honda Civic collided with a semi truck on the Ventura (134) Freeway in Glendale before sunrise Tuesday.
California Highway Patrol officers were called to the westbound freeway, near the Glendale Avenue off-ramp, at around 4:53 a.m. Tuesday where they found the wreckage of the vehicles blocking the middle lanes, Officer Michael Nasir told City News Service.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the victim Tuesday as Isaias Morales Bairan, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of four lanes of the westbound freeway for two hours to investigate the cause of the collision.
