A big rig driver crashed into a guardrail Friday, causing more than 100 feet of damage in lanes and blocking traffic.
The white Cascadia went onto the right shoulder and collided with the guardrail around 8:55 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol Records. The driver was not injured, but due to vehicle and road conditions, it was initially “not safe to get out of the vehicle.”
A tow truck was requested about 15 minutes later.
The incident left debris in multiple lanes and backed up traffic for over four miles, according to CHP estimates.
