A big rig rolled over Tuesday and spilled sand onto Interstate 10 in Thousand Palms, causing a lane closure.
At 9:54 a.m. Tuesday, a truck with two trailers attached heading westbound crashed and overturned on the South Cook Street on-ramp, blocking the ramp, lane No. 3 and a road sign, according to the California Highway Patrol. The on-ramp and slow lane were both shut down.
A tow truck and ambulance were called to the scene, as well as multiple CHP units.
It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured.
