The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped a half-cent Monday to $4.793 after rising a half-cent over the previous two days.
The average price is 2.1 cents less than one week ago, 30.4 cents lower than one month ago and 11.4 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The average price has dropped $1.701 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price rose for the fifth consecutive day, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.704. It has risen 2.3 cents over the past five days, including one-tenth of a cent Sunday.
The Orange County average price is 1.4 cents more than one week ago but 30.1 cents less than one month ago and 12.8 cents lower than one year ago. It has dropped $1.755 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.448, after dropping nine-tenths of a cent over the previous two days. It one-tenth of a cent more than one week ago but 16.1 cents less than one month ago and 13 cents lower than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.568 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
