A magnitude 2.9 earthquake has struck near South Pasadena and Alhambra at 5:07 a.m. Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The magnitude was originally reported at 3.2.

It was centered 2.7 miles southwest of South Pasadena and 3.1 miles southwest of Alhambra.

It was about 6 miles deep.

The quake was centered 3.7 miles northwest of Monterey Park and 3.8 miles northeast of Boyle Heights.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
