A 59-year-old man killed when a pleasure boat crashed and sank in Long Beach’s Alamitos Bay was publicly identified Saturday.
John Correa died from blunt trauma, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner.
Ten other people were injured when the 48-foot boat crashed into a jetty at around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday at 110 N. Marina Drive.
Correa was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three of the injured people suffered critical injuries, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
