A 74-year-old woman who had last been seen in Gardena, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert, has been found, authorities announced Tuesday.
Mitchi Shinagawa had last been seen near the intersection of Dublin and Marine Avenues shortly before 6:50 a.m. on Sept. 5, according to the California Highway Patrol.
She has since been located, but there were no further details.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
