The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped eight-tenths of a cent Wednesday to $4.603 after four increases in five days totaling 3.3 cents, including 1 cent on Tuesday.
The average price is 1.9 cents more than one week ago but seven-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and $1.18 lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.891 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped 2 cents to $4.532 after four consecutive increases totaling 3.9 cents, including 1.1 cents on Tuesday. It is seven-tenths of a cent more than one week ago but three-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and $1.066 lower than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped $1.927 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.204, one day after remaining unchanged. It is one-tenth of cent less than one week ago, four-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 39.6 cents below what it was one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.812 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
