The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell eight-tenths of a cent Thursday to $4.481, a day after dropping eight-tenths of a cent, and the 11th decrease in 12 days.
The average price has dropped 4.4 cents over the past 12 days, including 1.1 cents Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped eight consecutive days, rose a half-cent Monday and resumed decreasing Tuesday.
The average price is 3 cents less than one week ago, 12 cents lower than one month ago and 67.3 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $2.013 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped seven-tenths of a cent to $4.388, a day after dropping four-tenths of a cent. It is 1.6 cents less than one week ago, 15.3 cents lower than one month ago and 61.9 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped $2.071 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price of a gallon of gas was unchanged at $3.084, a day after rising six-tenths of a cent. The national average price is 2.2 cents less than one week ago, 15.3 cents lower than one month ago and 26.9 cents below what it was one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.932 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
