A Silver Alert was issued Wednesday for a 77-year-old man last seen in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Julian Downs was last seen around 7:50 p.m. Tuesday near Vineland Avenue and Strathern Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Downs was described as a 5-feet-8-inch tall man weighing 217 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green shirt, gray slacks, black tennis shoes and LA hat.
He is believed to be on foot.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Downs was urged to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
