A 76-year-old man last seen in Santa Monica Monday prompted the issuance of a Silver Alert.
Freddie Phillips was last seen around 8:15 a.m. near Fourth Street and Idaho Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Phillips was described as a 5-foot-6-foot tall man weighing 150 pounds with a bald head and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, green or gray sweatpants, and black slippers.
Anyone with information regarding Phillips’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
