The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County ticked upward by three-tenths of a cent to $4.875 Monday after falling for six consecutive days.
The average price is 5.2 cents less than one week ago, 21.2 cents more than one month ago and 51.5 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.619 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped for the eighth consecutive day, falling three-tenths of a cent to $4.810. It is 7.8 cents less than one week ago, 18.1 cents more than one month ago and 53.7 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.649 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the eighth time in the last nine days, decreasing five-tenths of a cent to $3.184. It is 6.905 cents less than one week ago, 11.005 cents more than one month ago and 44.405 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.832 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
