A tree trimmer was killed Wednesday in the Beverlywood area of Los Angeles in a likely electrocution, authorities said.
Firefighters responded to the 9300 block of W. Kirkside Road, a few blocks south of Pico Boulevard, at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday regarding a technical rescue, which resulted in a fatality, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The victim was suspended above the ground and below high-voltage wires.
The power was shut down in the area by officials from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power as fire crews assessed the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
