One ticket each with all six numbers in the Wednesday evening’s Powerball lottery drawing was sold in Indiana and Kansas and the players have the choice between an annuitized prize of $71.5 million or a lump sum payment of $32.6 million.
Both figures are before taxes, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game.
If the player selects the annuity option, he or she will receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.
The numbers drawn Wednesday were 3, 19, 35, 51, 67 and the Powerball number was 15.
The drawing was the 10th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 292.2 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.9.
There were 89 tickets sold with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, including 27 where the players utilized the Power Play option, where for an additional $1 per play, a ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, is worth $2 million, according .to the Multi-State Lottery Association.
