Comedian Kevin Hart will be on the receiving end of the jokes Sunday evening when Netflix presents “The Roast of Kevin Hart” live from the Kia Forum as part of the Netflix Is a Joke Fest.
The roast was scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Inglewood arena and will stream live on Netflix.
Hart, who previously hosted Netflix’s “The Roast of Tom Brady” in 2024, promoted the event on social media by challenging fellow comedians “to bring the heat.”
The full lineup of roasters has not been officially announced, though anticipation over which comedians and celebrities will appear has generated widespread attention on social media.
Netflix has promoted the event as an unfiltered live comedy special.
Shane Gillis, the stand-up comic known for his boundary-pushing humor, will serve as roastmaster for the event.
The roast will cap the weeklong Netflix Is a Joke Fest, which has featured hundreds of stand-up performances, podcast recordings and comedy events across Los Angeles.
Hart has appeared in numerous celebrity roasts over the years, including Comedy Central’s 2015 roast of Justin Bieber.
Netflix’s roast of Brady spent three weeks in the platform’s Global Top 10 and has generated 26 million views. The event also significantly raised comedian Nikki Glaser’s mainstream profile following her appearance.
