A pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck and killed on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway Friday.
The California Highway Patrol was informed of a vehicle striking a pedestrian around 3:59 a.m. on the westbound 10 Freeway just east of the Harbor (110) Freeway interchange, a CHP spokesperson said.
The collision involved a pickup truck, the CHP said.
Two middle lanes were closed and a Sigalert was issued, the CHP said.
By 5:30 a.m., only one lane remained closed as personnel from the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office made their way to the scene to collect the victim’s body.
