An 85-year-old man who went missing and was last seen in Pasadena was found, authorities said Friday.

James Nardini had been last seen around 3 p.m. Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Pasadena Police Department.

Nardini had been believed to be traveling on foot.

Nardini was described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He had been last seen wearing a brown shirt, khaki shorts and blue shoes.

The CHP did not release where and in what condition Nardini was found.

The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at-risk to help them be recovered more quickly.
