Police are investigating the apparent drowning of a man who was found floating Saturday in the water in Newport Beach.
Some passersby saw the man’s body in the area of 32nd Street and Oceanfront at 1 a.m., said Newport Beach police Sgt. Brandon Rodriguez.
They pulled the man out of the water and administered CPR with no results, Rodriguez said.
“There is no evidence of foul play at this point,” the police sergeant said.
