A 14-year-old girl who must take medication  because of an unspecified medical condition has gone missing in La Habra, police said.

Morgan Starr Hambrick was last seen by family members about 2 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Las Lomas Drive, La Habra Police Sgt. Jose Quirarte said.

The teen’s grandfather had given her permission to retrieve the mail, but she never returned, Quirarte said.

A search of the area and neighboring communities by the child’s mother proved fruitless, Quirarte said.

Family members in Compton were also alerted, as Hambrick had run away before and been located in that city, Quirarte said.

Hambrick is black, 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighs about 79 pounds, wears her gold and brown hair in braids and has brown eyes. She was wearing a pink beanie, tan shorts, black high-top athletic shoes and a shirt of unknown color when last seen.

Anyone with information regarding the girl’s whereabouts was urged to call La Habra Police Detective Paul Lucifora at (562) 383-4300.
