A boy was in custody Tuesday on suspicion of trying to steal a car off a car carrier in Anaheim, police said.
The incident at 2626 W. Ball Rd was reported 10:27 p.m. Monday, according to Anaheim Police Sgt. John Olea.
“A passerby saw the juvenile trying to steal a (Chevrolet) Camaro off an 18-wheel car carrier that was parked on the street and called police,” Olea said.
“When our officers arrived, the juvenile ran from the scene and hid in a backyard of a home,” Olea said. “Officers then used a K-9 to locate the suspect.”
The juvenile was arrested on suspicion of trying to steal a car, Olea said.
