A 16-year-old girl visiting from the state of Washington and who went missing during a New Year’s Eve party in Santa Ana has been found, police said Sunday.
Lizbeth Mateo was located in Anaheim and has been reunited with her family. An investigation into the circumstances of her disappearance continues, the Santa Ana Police Department reported.
An approximate time, day and location where she was found in Anaheim was not immediately known.
Mateo was with family at the El Festival Club at 230 E. Third St. and was last seen at 1:30 a.m. Friday when she told a relative she was going to the restroom, but never returned, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
She was visiting from Kent, Washington and staying with family in the 500 block of South Cypress, police said.
