
A motorist trying to elude police suffered moderate injuries in a crash Sunday in Tustin.
The crash occurred in the 2900 block of Champion Way. Paramedics rushed the motorist to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana with head injuries, according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the location at 5:50 a.m., where a Tustin police officer was treated and released for a leg injury suffered in the crash.
A watch sergeant at the Tustin Police Department said the chase began in Orange, in the area of the 55 and 22 freeways.
A watch commander at the Orange Police Department could not be reached for immediate comment.
