Fabian Joel Lopez was arrested Wednesday night during a search of his home, Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.
A 22-year-old employee of a Taco Bell restaurant at 1600 W. Katella Ave. was shot about 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wyatt said. The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Wyatt said.
The victim, who has no gang ties, was shot while arriving for work, Wyatt said. It appeared to be a “gang hit-up,” meaning the victim was asked if he had any gang affiliation and then was shot, Wyatt said.
Lopez was being held without bail in Orange County Jail, according to jail records.
