Three people were taken into custody in connection with a stabbing in front of a Huntington Beach fitness center that left one man hospitalized, police reported Monday.
A conflict between two men and a woman in a vehicle and two men walking by escalated into a violent confrontation that left the victim hospitalized with non-life-threatening stab wounds, according to Huntington Beach Police Officer Jennifer Marlatt.
The fight broke out about 4:15 p.m. Sunday in front of a 24 Hour Fitness at 303 Third St., Marlatt said. One of the pedestrians walking by the vehicle was wounded, Marlatt said.
The three combatants in the vehicle fled the area, but were soon arrested, she said.
Further details, including the names of the arrestees and the victim, were not immediately released.
