A man crossing a Santa Ana street was stuck by a vehicle and killed, police said Saturday.
The victim was hit at about 9:15 p.m. Friday at the intersection of First and Maple streets and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Santa Ana Police.
His name has not been released.

Police say he was outside a crosswalk, heading northbound across First Street, when he was hit by a westbound vehicle whose driver stopped and gave a statement to investigators.
The driver displayed no evidence of impairment nor was there any indication that the victim was impaired at the time of the crash, police said.
