A small fire amidst construction materials on UCI Medical Center’s property in Orange was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
The fire that burned wood and new construction wood frames on the UCI property at 101 The City Drive South was reported about 9:50 p.m., Wednesday according to a Orange Fire Department dispatch supervisor who declined to give her name.
Some 30 firefighters from the Orange, Anaheim, Garden Grove fire departments and the Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene and put out the fire in about 18 minutes, according to the Orange fire dispatch supervisor and OCFA Capt. Steve Concialdi.
There were no injuries reported, the dispatch supervisor said. The cause of the fire remained under investigation, she said.
