The sixth annual Angel Stadium “Fill the Boot” fundraiser benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Orange County and Riverside County will be held at Friday’s Los Angeles Angels-Oakland Athletics game.
Wives of Angels players and members of the Anaheim Firefighters Association will ask that their boots be filled with cash and coins supplied by fans to help fund the MDA children’s clinic at Children’s Hospital of Orange County and the ALS Center at UC Irvine.
The donations will also provide wheelchair repair, flu shots and MDA summer camp for special-needs children and fund research to help find cures for 43 neuromuscular diseases.
The fundraiser will begin at 5 p.m. and run through the end of the second inning outside of the Diamond Club, and Angel Stadium’s Home Plate Gate and gates 1, 4, 6, 7 and 8.
