The annual Halfway to Christmas Toy Drive will be held at Saturday’s Los Angeles Angels-Oakland Athletics game at Angel Stadium in connection with the team’s Christmas in June celebration.
The toy drive will be held under the big red hats outside the stadium. Fans are encouraged to donate new unwrapped toys for children 6 to 15 years old.
A ticket voucher to an Angel game will be given for the donation of each new toy with a minimum value of $10.
Toys collected will be provided to children from area nonprofit organizations during the Kid Holiday Party in December hosted by the Angels Baseball Foundation.
There will be Christmas decorations throughout Angel Stadium, including a Christmas Tree at the Home Plate Gate and special holiday drinks.
Reindeer will be in the Music Garden throughout the game. A poll will be conducted to name a baby reindeer.
Fans can take pictures with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus from 5-9 p.m. The Charles Dickens Carolers will perform at the Home Plate Gate.
