
A fire damaged a second-floor apartment in Irvine Thursday night, but no one was injured.
The fire was reported just after 7 p.m. in a three-story apartment complex in the 1100 block of Quail Ridge Drive, according to Capt. Larry Kurtz of the Orange County Fire Authority.
Twenty-five firefighters responded, Kurtz said.
The fire was held in check by automatic sprinklers, he said.
Knockdown was declared about 7:35 p.m., Kurtz said.
