An autopsy Monday was inconclusive on the cause of death of a 34-year-old woman whose body was found in a car in a movie theater parking lot in La Habra, an Orange County Sheriff-Coroner spokesman said.
The cause and manner of the death of Megan Sterling of Sierra Madre was pending further tests, according to Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Mark Stichter, and La Habra police could not be reached for comment.

A man walking his dog about 7:30 a.m. Friday found the woman’s body slumped over the front seat of a car in the Regal La Habra Stadium 16 lot at Idaho Street and Imperial Highway.
The witness summoned a police officer who was nearby, and the officer determined she was dead, La Habra police Sgt. Ron Hurst said, noting there were no obvious signs of trauma on the body.
The car had sustained some “collision damage on both sides,” Hurst said Friday. “But we didn’t have any collisions last night that she would have been involved in. That seemed a little strange.”
