Three parked big rigs caught fire in Westminster, the Orange County Fire Authority said Wednesday.

The Orange County Fire Authority received reports of a big rig fire at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of a vehicle storage area in the 7000 block of Garden Grove Boulevard, according to OCFA Capt. Larry Kurtz.

Responding crews found one tractor trailer rig well-involved in flames in a parking where there were about 40 trucks, Kurtz said.

The fire spread to two additional rigs but firefighters were able to douse the flames in about 45 minutes, Battalion Chief Steve Edwards told a news videographer at the scene.

No one was injured and an arson investigation team was summoned to the site to determine what caused the fires.

A hazmat team also was called out because some fuel spilled on the ground as a result of the fire.
